Friday Signal: Winding Up, Winding Down

Careful (OK, even casual) readers of Signal have most likely noticed that I’ve been rather distracted preparing for the CM Summit, which starts in one business day – it’s the kickoff conference to New York’s Internet Week on Monday. We’ve held that esteemed position for several years, and I take it very seriously, which is why I pre-interview nearly everyone who graces the stage, and I obsess in particular on the interviews I do on stage. Besides my day job(s), the CM has pretty much taken over my (and several other team members) lives in the past month or so.

So here are Friday’s links, leading with Facebook’s new head of global ad sales. And a note: Next week Signal will be on hiatus, as I’ll be running CM Summit, then participating in numerous other Internet Week events. And the week after that, I’ll be on what I hope will be an entirely offline vacation. So that’s two weeks without Signal. Will ya miss us? We’ll see….to the links.
